The Purse Auction Committee is seeking individuals or organizations to donate purses for the silent auction at the Power of the Purse luncheon. Attendees will be allowed time to view and place bids on the purses during registration and lunch. Bids will close before the program begins and the highest bidder will be allowed to purchase the item. Winners will pay upon departure and collect their auction item.
 
What to donate? 
A purse, or collection of items in a purse, that “represent the personality” of the donor. Some examples include unique fashion purses, purses with books, wine, candles, salon products or services, gift certificates, bath and beauty care items, or anything and everything a woman would want! A purse must be the “container”; no baskets please.
 
What should it be worth? 
Whatever you feel comfortable with. In the past, purses ranged from $25-$400 in value to allow all women to participate in the bidding.
 
How do I donate?
Simply arrange your purse idea, and complete a Purse Silent Auction Donation Form. Estimate the value of your auction item for tax purposes for the purchaser. Also provide a description of the purse and contents to aid in the marketing of the items. Then deliver the purse and you’re done!
 
Support a worthwhile cause!
Your donation supports the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay. This endowment fund, managed under the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, provides grants to programs that provide opportunities for women & girls. The mission of the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay is to encourage philanthropy among women of all ages and backgrounds and to support and expand opportunities for all women and girls.
 
If you are planning to donate a purse please contact us by August 1, 2008.  For inclusion in the Power of the Purse program and our website, purses (along with a completed Purse Silent Auction Donation Form) must be delivered by September 2, 2008 to
