My first experience with the Women’s Fund was over ten years ago, as a raffle ticket volunteer at the Power of the Purse. I remember being entranced by not only the sheer number of attendees, but by the pure intention of positively influencing the lives of women and girls in our community. I wanted to be a part of it.
A decade later, I am honored to support the mission of the Women’s Fund in a newly developed role with the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation. As Communications Program Officer, I’m responsible for executing the Community Foundation’s communication, public relations, and event plans while also serving the Women’s Fund Advisory Board and assisting with the execution of initiatives for the communications, fund development, education, and events committees.
I’m excited to experience firsthand how local donations are working hard in our community, to perpetuate the good. From basic necessities, mental health, workforce readiness, and leadership training, every dollar is providing our local women and girls the opportunity to build upon their potential and confidence for a successful and happy future.
I’m grateful for the inspirational women who formed the Women’s Fund of Greater Green Bay over 25 years ago and for the support of the talented and dedicated volunteers currently serving on the Women’s Fund Executive Committee and Advisory Board. Each is dedicated to breaking down the barriers that women and girls face.
I feel so proud to have such a dynamic group of women fighting for a better future for our leaders to come.
